Gold Hallmarking
Every piece of gold jewellery at Lumina Jewel House is BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) hallmarked. The hallmark includes the BIS logo, purity number (916 for 22K, 750 for 18K, 995 for 24K), our jeweller’s identification mark, and the year of hallmarking. Hallmarking has been mandatory for gold jewellery in India since 2021.
Diamond Certification
All diamonds above 0.30 carats come with certification from internationally recognized laboratories including IGI (International Gemological Institute), GIA (Gemological Institute of America), and HRD (Hoge Raad voor Diamant). Each certificate details the diamond’s 4 C grading (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat) and includes a unique identification number.
Solitaire Laser Inscription
Solitaire diamonds above 0.30 carats feature a laser-inscribed girdle number that matches the certificate. This microscopic inscription provides an additional layer of security and authentication. You can view this inscription under magnification at our showroom.
Gemstone Certification
Coloured gemstones (rubies, emeralds, sapphires) above 1 carat come with certification detailing origin, treatment status, and quality grading. Pearls come with a grading certificate indicating type, size, lustre, and surface quality. We can provide additional gemological reports upon request.
Authentication Verification
All certificates and hallmarks can be verified independently. BIS hallmarks can be verified at any BIS-recognized Assaying & Hallmarking Centre. Diamond certificates can be verified online through the respective laboratory’s website using the certificate number.
Re-Certification
If you wish to have your jewellery re-certified at any point (for insurance purposes, resale, or personal assurance), we can facilitate this through our partner laboratories. Re-certification fees apply and the process takes 7-14 days.
